Coronavirus (Covid-19) and EDAS’s future activities

3 December 2020

Like everyone else, the EDAS Committee is looking forward to a return to ‘normal’ conditions. Our programme for 2020-2021 will recommence in January 2021 with a virtual meeting via Zoom. Two other virtual meetings are planned for February and March. (See Programme of Events) We hope that by May 2021 we will be able to meet as usual for our talk and our delayed AGM.

Steve Cole, Chairman

The Ely & District Archaeological Society (EDAS) was founded in 1980. The object of the Society is 'to advance the education of the public in their study of archaeology, history and kindred subjects'. EDAS promotes this via:
  • A programme of lectures between October and May
  • Visits to sites of archaeological or historical interest
  • Collecting and disseminating information about archaeology and history of the local area
